Rod Pearce is a developer with extensive experience in software development for IoT solutions, currently working at Hive, Centrica Connected Home since July 2015. At Hive, Rod develops software for the IoT nano hub, facilitating the control of various consumer devices and their integration with third-party services. Before Hive, Rod worked at AlertMe.com Limited for a brief period prior to its acquisition by Centrica. Rod's earlier experience includes a long tenure at Orc Software Limited and as an Analyst/Programmer with NERC Research Vessel Services, supporting oceanographic research through the design and maintenance of shipborne computer systems. Rod holds an MSc in Instrumentation and Analytical Science from The University of Manchester, a BA Hons in Electronics from Keele University, and a Diploma in Computing from The Open University.
