Gerasimos Petratos, MD has had a long and successful career in healthcare informatics. From 2001 to 2003, they were an NLM Fellow in Biomedical Informatics at Intermountain Healthcare. Gerasimos then moved to Roche, where they served as Director of the Clinical Decision Support Group from 2003 to 2009. In 2009, they joined Genentech as Global Head of Healthcare Data Strategy & Analytics. At the same time, they were also a Medical Informatics Faculty at Northwestern University. In 2011, they became the CEO of Hiteks Solutions Inc., where they lead the company's approach to smart, innovative solutions integrated with physician workflow within EHRs. Gerasimos also held roles as a Healthcare IT Professor at Bronx Community College and Secretary at the Hellenic Medical Society of New York during this time.
Gerasimos Petratos, MD, obtained their MD degree from Howard University College of Medicine between 1997 and 2001, majoring in Medicine. Prior to that, they obtained a BS degree in Biology and Genetics from Cornell University between 1992 and 1996. After obtaining their MD, they went on to obtain an MS degree in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah School of Medicine between 2001 and 2003.
