Craig Jessop has work experience in the rail industry, primarily in technician and coordinator roles. Craig worked at Hitachi Rail from 2018, starting as a Maintenance & Wheel Lathe Technician and later becoming a Lead Technician. Since 2021, their role as Lead Technician has continued. Prior to that, they worked at Lucchini Unipart Rail Ltd from 2013. At Lucchini Unipart Rail Ltd, they started as a Safety Critical Rolling Stock Technician and later became a Training Coordinator & Competency Assessor. Craig held this role from 2017 to 2018.

Craig Jessop attended Vermuyden Secondary School from 1997 to 2002. Craig then pursued an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship and a Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair at Hull College from 2002 to 2007.
