Xavier Cerna has a comprehensive work experience in the quality management field, starting as a Test Engineer at General Motors in 2003. Xavier progressed through roles at HATCI and Woodward, Inc., eventually becoming Director of Quality at TransDigm Group Inc. / TA Aerospace before moving to their current position as Director of Quality at Howmet Aerospace in 2021. During their career, they have demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, supplier management, and new product launches.

Xavier Cerna earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from The University of Texas at Austin from 2000-2006. Xavier later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School in 2015-2016.
