Igor de Liefde is an accomplished professional in the construction machinery and engineering sector, currently serving as President of FMIB, the Dutch trade association for manufacturers of construction machinery, representing industry interests at both national and European levels since September 2022. With extensive experience at Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV since March 2011, Igor has been responsible for compliance with European product regulations and environmental strategies, contributing significantly as a member of the Product Management team. Additionally, Igor serves as the Technical Representative of FMIB in CECE's Technical Commission and Project Teams, focusing on machine safety and environmental regulations. Prior roles include project management and engineering positions in diverse industries such as oil and gas, marine engineering, and custom automotive adaptations, supported by a solid educational background in automotive engineering from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
