Hannah Smith is a seasoned professional in the field of digital archiving with extensive experience at Historic Environment Scotland since October 2015, currently serving as Digital Repository Manager. In this role, Hannah oversees the management and development of the HES Archives Digital Repository, focusing on digital cataloguing and digitisation initiatives. Since October 2018, Hannah has also been the Archive Digital Projects Manager and is currently covering the Digital Archive Manager position during maternity leave, managing a significant digital project aimed at enhancing online access to archival materials. Prior to this, Hannah held various positions at RCAHMS from February 2011 to October 2015, including Digital Archives Manager and Digital Archive Officer, following earlier roles at Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust and York Archaeological Trust. Hannah holds an MLitt in Professional Archaeology and an MA Hons in Archaeology from the University of Glasgow.
