Carlotta Paltrinieri is a Lecturer in Early Modern Italian Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London. Prior to this role, Carlotta was a Senior Researcher at Historic Environment Scotland and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bibliotheca Hertziana. Carlotta also served as the Vice Director at The Medici Archive Project Inc. Carlotta holds a Ph.D. in Italian Studies and Art History from Indiana University Bloomington, as well as an MA in Italian Language and Literature and a Bachelor's degree in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics.
