Gabriela Perez is a dedicated and impactful leader currently serving as a Tufts FIRST Peer Leader at Tufts University, focusing on supporting First Generation and Low-Income students through mentorship and event planning. Gabriela is also a highly selective Latinx On Fast Track Leadership Institute Fellow with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, chosen from nearly 30,000 applicants to develop leadership and community-building skills. As an EMERGE Fellow, Gabriela has engaged in various initiatives, including a CPRTP Summer Internship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where research was conducted in behavioral science. Additionally, Gabriela has experience mentoring high school students through Momentum Education, coordinating research at the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development, and promoting voter participation as an Elections Ambassador for Mi Familia Vota. Gabriela is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology at Tufts University, following an Associate of Science degree from Houston Community College and a high school diploma from North Houston Early College High School.
