Julio Garay-Roa is an experienced professional in the insurance and reinsurance industry, currently serving as Strategy Manager for Crisis Management at Hiscox since September 2012. Their career at Hiscox also includes roles as Senior Underwriter for Kidnap & Ransom within Crisis Management, Head of Underwriting for Special Risks in Europe, and Special Risks Underwriter. Prior to Hiscox, Julio completed a two-month internship at JLT Re Colombia in July 2011, where focus on treaty business provided valuable insights into the local and international markets. Julio holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) in Economics from the University of Southampton, obtained between 2009 and 2012, and completed education at Wallington County Grammar School from 2002 to 2009.
