Ameena Sameja is an experienced human resources professional with a focus on employee relations and learning and development. Currently serving as the Head of People at Hiscox since May 2020, Ameena previously held various HR roles at XLN from March 2014 to May 2020, including HR Manager and Senior HR Consultant. Prior to XLN, Ameena worked at Aabbey Building Company as an HR Advisor, focusing on employee relations for a workforce of 250-300 employees. Ameena's early career includes roles related to mental health, serving as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist at DNA Care Services and CNWL NHS Foundation Trust, and a Care Pathway Development Officer. Ameena holds a PG Diploma in Psychology from Nottingham Trent University and a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology from Queen Mary University of London.
