Patty Grealish-Rust has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Patty is currently a Member at Chief, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at HiRoad, including Vice President of Finance & Business Operations since June 2022, Director of Finance Solutions & Operations from March 2020, and Finance Manager from March 2017. Before joining HiRoad, they served as the Assistant Director of Finance and Administration at the Portsmouth School Department from November 2014 to March 2017. Patty began their career at Masspro in August 2007, where they worked their way up from Staff Accountant to Accounting Manager. During their time at Masspro, they successfully prepared a cost proposal resulting in winning a $15 million federal contract, which accounted for over 50% of the company's annual revenue.

Patty Grealish-Rust has a diverse educational background. Patty first attended DR from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Diploma with Honors. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies at Wells College from 2000 to 2002. Patty then transferred to UMass Boston and studied Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities, completing their Bachelor's degree from 2002 to 2007. Later on, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2011 to 2013, where they specialized in Financial and Business Analysis and earned a degree in Accounting.

In addition to their formal education, Patty has also acquired several certifications. Patty became a Certified Payroll Professional through the American Payroll Association in April 2013. More recently, in December 2020, they became a Founding Member of Tech Ladies®. Additionally, they obtained the Emerging CFO certification from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in July 2021.
