Harsh Kothari has a diverse range of work experience. Harsh started their career as an Engineering Trainee at Physical Research Laboratory in 2012, where they developed a Genetic Algorithm Based Digital Filter. In 2013, Harsh worked as a Google Summer of Code Intern at Wikimedia Foundation, followed by a role as a Mentor for Google Code-In, where they mentored students in solving bugs and adding features for the Wikimedia Foundation.
In 2013, Harsh also joined Lintel Technologies Private Limited as a Software Developer, where they worked on backend development and created a game engine for a multiplayer online card game portal called TajRummy. Harsh also designed AI procedures and algorithms for the game and developed network architecture to enable players from different domains to play together.
In 2016, Harsh joined Rutgers University as a Grader for the Data Structure and Algorithm course. Later that year, they started working at Salesforce as a Software Engineering Intern, where they contributed to the implementation of Refocus, a platform for visualizing service health. Harsh improved REST APIs, implemented error handling and caching middleware, and added new features.
At Salesforce, Harsh continued to work as a Software Engineer, where they focused on performance improvements and scalability of the Refocus platform. Harsh also contributed to making Refocus an open-source project. In May 2020, Harsh transitioned to Hippo Insurance, where they currently hold the position of Senior Software Engineer II.
Harsh Kothari completed their education in a chronological order. Harsh obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University, studying from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication from L.D. College of Engineering, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Harsh completed their high school education at Ashish Higher Secondary School, specializing in Science, from 2007 to 2009.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Harsh Kothari also holds certifications in Circuits and Electronics from edX, which they obtained in September 2012.
