Matt Leonardo is a legal professional currently serving as Principal at Hinman Straub P.C. since September 2016 and as Professor of Cannabis Law at Albany Law School since May 2022. With prior experience as a Senior Attorney at the NYS Department of Health from December 2012 to September 2016, and as Assigned Counsel at the Appellate Division, Third Department from July 2009 to August 2013, Leonardo has a robust background in law. Additional roles include Assistant Counsel for the NYS Legislative Bill Drafting Commission and Of Counsel at Sullivan Keenan Oliver & Violando. Matt Leonardo earned a Juris Doctor in Business Law from Albany Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Union College.
