Director Of Native American Art at Hindman Auctions

Danica Farnand has extensive work experience in the auction industry, specifically in the field of Native American art. Danica currently serves as the Director of Native American Art at Hindman Auctions since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Cowan's Auctions, Inc. for almost two decades. At Cowan's Auctions, they held the role of Director of Native American Art and was responsible for various tasks such as appraising and acquiring American Indian Art consignments, organizing auctions with sales totaling over $20 million, cataloging American Indian Art and early western photography, and writing articles for local and national publications. Danica also served as an appraiser on the Antiques Roadshow and was a panel member for a seminar on North American Indian Art. Additionally, Danica previously held the position of Consignor Relations and Collection Manager at Cowan's Auctions.

Danica Farnand obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Art History from John Carroll University, where they attended from 1995 to 1999. Danica then pursued further education and earned a Master's Degree in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati, attending from 2000 to 2002.

In terms of high school education, Danica attended Our Lady of Mercy from 1991 to 1995, completing their high school studies with no specific field of study mentioned.
