Hongzhi Z. has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Hongzhi currently works as a Full-Stack Software Engineer at HiMama starting from April 2021. Previously, they worked as a Shopify App Developer at Shopify Apps from October 2019 to March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Full-Stack Software Engineer at #paid from July 2017 to September 2019. Hongzhi also participated as a Participant & Speaker at the Ruby Lightening Talk Meetup Group from August 2015 to January 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at DevBBQ Inc. (now Spiria Toronto) from January 2016 to June 2017. Hongzhi'swork experience also includes a summer internship at Beijing Ao Shi Rong Sheng Technology Ltd. in 2014, where they served as a QA Tester and was responsible for Java unit testing, bug reporting, and bug fixing for web games.

Hongzhi Z. completed an Honours Bachelor Degree of Applied Science in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they also underwent full-stack web development training at General Assembly Canada. In 2016, they attended BrainStation for digital marketing and SEO studies.
