Veronica Sutton, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHRca, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles in the field of human resources. Veronica began their career in 2000 as a Benefits Service Representative/Client Specialist at Merrill Lynch/Howard Johnson & Co. Veronica then moved on to eBenX, Inc. (SHPS, Inc.) in 2002, where they served as a Team Leader, managing a team responsible for client support.

In 2003, Veronica joined Starbucks Coffee Company, where they held multiple positions including Senior Representative, HR Contact Center, providing expertise on payroll and HR policies, and Human Resources Representative, offering generalist HR support to corporate client groups. Veronica also worked as an Organization Development Specialist, focusing on employee development and succession planning.

Veronica subsequently joined JPMorgan Chase (formerly Washington Mutual) in 2008 as a Human Resources Business Partner, collaborating with senior leadership and management teams to address HR needs within various departments. From there, they transitioned to K&L Gates in 2009, where they initially served as a Regional Human Resources Manager and later took on roles such as HR Manager, Operations and Asia HR/Legal Recruiting Manager, and Senior HR Business Partner.

In 2017, Veronica joined Cozen O'Connor as a Regional Office Manager, responsible for leading and developing a professional support staff team and managing office administrative operations. Their most recent position is the Director of Human Resources at Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson P.S., a role in which they guide the development and implementation of HR policies and programs. Veronica focuses on talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, professional development, legal compliance, and performance management.

Throughout their career, Veronica has consistently demonstrated their expertise in HR strategy, organizational development, and management, making their a valuable asset in any organization.

Veronica Sutton, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHRca, completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Sociology at Gonzaga University. Veronica further pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. In terms of certifications, they acquired the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in November 2008. Additionally, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources – California (PHRca) certification from the HR Certification Institute in December 2011. Furthermore, Veronica Sutton achieved the SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional) certification from SHRM in 2015.
