Jia-Vern LOH has over 15 years of work experience. They started their career in 2006 as a Process Scientist at Avecia Biotechnology, where they worked until 2007. After that, they joined Fisher Scientific (M) Sdn Bhd as an Export Product Specialist from 2008 to 2010. Then, they worked as a Scientist at Inviragen Pte Ltd from 2010 to 2015. From 2015 to 2021, Jia-Vern LOH served as a Sr. Scientist at Takeda. Currently, since April 2021, they hold the position of Sr. Scientist at Hilleman Laboratories Singapore Pte Ltd.

Jia-Vern LOH began their education journey at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARC) from 2003 to 2005, where they earned an Advanced Diploma in Chemistry and Biology. They then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology at Liverpool John Moores University in 2005, completing the program within that same year. Subsequently, Jia-Vern LOH pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Biotechnology, also at Liverpool John Moores University, which they completed in 2006.
