John Westlake has a diverse work experience spanning various healthcare and management roles. John currently serves as the Director of Cardiovascular Surgical Services & Endoscopy at Hillcrest Healthcare System, where they utilize their extensive clinical leadership background to excel in their role. John is passionate about helping others realize their potential and making a positive impact on patient care. Prior to this, they were the Nursing Manager of Endoscopy at the same company.

In the past, John has held interim positions at Kirby Bates Associates as the Interim Clinical Director of a Mass Vaccine Site, where they led one of Georgia's largest vaccine sites, ensuring the safe administration of vaccinations while maintaining operational efficiency. John also worked as an Interim Clinical Operations Manager at Whitman Partners and as an Interim Hospital Administrator at Maxim Healthcare Group, where they designed and implemented a COVID response program for a 125-bed field hospital.

John started their career as a Registered Nurse, working at companies such as Aureus Medical Group and Gifted Healthcare. John gained experience in emergency departments at Saint Francis Health System and St. John Medical Center, where they served as a Registered Nurse. At St. John Medical Center, John also held roles as an Operations Manager for Surgical Services, Analyst/Logistics Supervisor, and Lead Emergency Department Tech.

Before entering the healthcare industry, John worked as a Make Ready Manager at Sonic Automotive and Marc Miller Pontiac GMC. These experiences have contributed to their well-rounded skill set and ability to excel in various roles.

John Westlake has a diverse and comprehensive education history in the healthcare field. John obtained their Doctor's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in 2024. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the same institution.

John also holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree in Nursing Science from Oklahoma State University. Additionally, they have an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Brown Mackie College-Tulsa and an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Tulsa Community College.

In terms of certifications, John Westlake is a Registered Nurse, which they obtained in April 2017 from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
