Mark Brading has over 20 years of work experience in the engineering field. Mark began their career in 1993 as a PCB Design and Systems Engineer at Lucent Technologies Wireless Ltd, where they were responsible for PCB design, system documentation, and the creation and verification of PCB cells. In 1999, they moved to 3Com as a Senior PCB Design Engineer, where they were responsible for RF and antenna PCB design, library management, and training and supporting engineers in the use of PCB tools, scripting, and C++ app development tools. In 2001, they worked as a Senior IC Layout Engineer at Synad Technologies Ltd, where they were responsible for full custom RF IC layout of analogue and mixed signal cells to top level on 0. 18uM process using Mentor Graphics toolset up to 5.6GHz. That same year, they also worked as an IC Layout Engineer at Philips Semiconductors in Southampton. In 2003, they moved to Panasonic LSI as a Senior IC Layout Engineer, where they were responsible for full custom IC layout of analogue and mixed signal from cell to top level on 0. 18uM CMOS process using Cadence toolset and LVS/DRC/PEX verification and tapeout. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Senior IC Layout Engineer at Semtech Ltd, where they were responsible for full custom IC Layout of analogue and mixed signal from cell to top level on 0. 18uM and 0. 25uM CMOS processes using Mentor Graphics Toolset. Mark also worked as an IC Layout Engineer at Genasic Design Systems Ltd and Nanotech Semiconductor in 2010. In 2011, they worked as an IC Layout Engineer at Gennum Corporation. Finally, from 2012 to present, they have been working as an IC Layout Engineer at HiLight Semiconductor Ltd, where they are responsible for IC Layout of fibre optic semiconductors on 22nM, 28nM, 40nM, 55nM and 65nM process, as well as the application design, development and support of IC layout pattern matching generator and PCB tools for Front and back-end PCB System processes, and the design, development and maintenance of company wide Intranet.
Mark Brading began their educational journey in 1976 when they attended Hounsdown Secondary School, where they studied Maths, English, Design Technology Metal, Graphical Communication, and Rural Science. In 1982, they enrolled in St Mary's Technical college, where they earned a BTEC 3 in Electronics and Maths. In 2005, they began studying at The Open University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing in 2014. Additionally, they earned a Diploma in Web Application Development from The Open University in 2012.
