Michael Friedman is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in investment and management. Currently serving as CEO of Hilco IP Merchant Banking since January 2016, Friedman previously held the position of Managing Director at Ocean Tomo, where responsibilities included heading investments from February 2007 to December 2015. Additionally, Friedman co-founded FHS Investments, LLC and served as Managing Director from 2003 to 2006. Earlier in the career, Friedman was Managing Director and Co-head of Special Situations Investing at UBS from January 1994 to January 2003. Friedman holds a JD in Law from the University of Chicago Law School and a BS in Nautical Science with a focus on Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
