Isabel Velasco began their work experience as a Budgeting and Planning Officer at CorpBanca C.A. Venezuela in 1998. Isabel then moved on to become an Assistant Vice President Financial Controller at CorpBanca New York in 2000, where they managed a team and handled budgeting and forecasting processes. In 2002, they joined Corp Banca C.A. New York Brach (voluntary liquidated) as the VP Financial Controller, overseeing a team and being responsible for budgeting and forecasting. From 2007 to 2011, they served as the VP Financial Controller at CorpBanca, where they assisted in submitting an application to establish a Federal Branch in New York and maintained financial statements. Following that, they worked at GetSmartBk as the Head of Finance from 2011 to 2017, reporting to the CEO and Founder and focusing on process improvements and revenue optimization. At Xapo Bank, they served as Financial Control from 2018 to 2020, handling financial statements and regulatory reporting. Their most recent role was at Citi as the Vice President, Corporate Risk Reporting from 2021 to 2022, where they prepared materials for credit loss reserve recommendations and oversaw risk reporting. Currently, they are working as the Chief Financial Officer at Higlobe.

Isabel Velasco holds a Master's degree in Finance from IESA, which they obtained from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, where they studied from 1991 to 1996.
