Nilla Barros is a seasoned professional in data analytics and healthcare, currently serving as a Manager of Data Analytics and Clinical and Population Health Analytics Lead at Highmark Health since September 2020. Nilla's previous experience includes roles as a Healthcare Analyst and Project Manager at The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence, where substantial programming in R was utilized to analyze large datasets of insurance claims. Nilla also worked at the US Environmental Protection Agency, leading studies on respiratory illness risk factors, and at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, mentoring staff in epidemiological analyses.
