James Strozier, P.E. has extensive work experience in the industrial automation engineering field. James co-founded Highground Services in 2006 and served as the Co-Owner/CEO and later the COO. Highground Services specializes in small projects for industrial and municipal customers, handling the entire project lifecycle from design to training. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2003, James worked as a Sr. Sales Engineer for Measurement & Control Products, responsible for sales of industrial automation equipment in southern Virginia. James also worked at International Paper's Franklin Mill from 1985 to 2000, initially as a Process Control Engineer and later in various roles including Sr. Engineer. Their early career at Union Camp involved positions as Asst. Supt.-Instrument Maint. and Machine Supervisor.
James Strozier, P.E. earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, which they attended from 1978 to 1982. Following their undergraduate studies, they obtained several certifications including becoming a Professional Engineer from the State of Virginia in December 2005 and from the State of North Carolina in April 2010.
