Don Shanks has extensive experience in the field of electrical and instrumentation technology, having worked as a Controls Engineering Technician and in various roles at Highground Services since 2007. Prior experience includes positions at LG&E Power Services/Westmoreland Utility Operations as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician from 2003 to 2007, and at International Paper/Union Camp as an Area Manager of the Fiber Recycling Plant from 1998 to 2003. Don's earlier roles at Union Camp Corporation involved serving as a Maintenance Supervisor and an Electrical & Instrumentation/Operations Technician from 1994 to 1998. Don Shanks is an honor graduate of the USAF Aerospace Ground Equipment Maintenance School, where electrical, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, and engine maintenance were studied, and has further education from Paul D. Camp Community College and Westlake High School.
