Jim Hummel has had a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jim began their career in 2002 as a substitute teacher at Dixon Public Schools. In 2005, they joined Chewy Software as a Senior Artist, where they worked with clients like LeapFrog, Disney, Hasbro, and Nickelodeon. Jim excelled in creating 2D and 3D art using programs like Photoshop, Flash, and 3D Studio Max. Jim also has proficiency in Illustrator, Mudbox, Zbrush, and the Unity game engine. In 2016, they transitioned to First Transit as a Care Coordinator, and later joined Plews and Edelmann in 2018 as a Production Artist. In 2020, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Boston Leather before moving on to High Voltage Software. At High Voltage Software, they initially served as a UI Artist and later took on the role of Lead UI Artist.
Jim Hummel attended Northern Illinois University from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Drawing. From 2003 to 2005, they pursued a second Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, specializing in Game and Interactive Media Design, at The Art Institutes.
