Heather Starks currently serves as the Robotics Program Expansion Coordinator at High Tech Kids, focusing on expanding FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Programs for underrepresented students in STEM through a DEED grant. At High Tech Kids, Starks also coordinates corporate and individual giving, alongside grants to sustain and grow educational programs. Since 2006, Starks has been a School Board Member for Bloomington Public Schools, re-elected in both 2019 and 2023. Starks holds leadership positions within the Minnesota PTA, including Past President, and has experience in education as both a teacher and policy leader, having taught middle school social studies and English in Independent School District 196. Starks earned a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from the University of St. Thomas and a certificate in Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education from Hamline University.
