Sean Bearsley has extensive experience in the bitumen industry, currently serving as the National Bitumen Operations Manager at Higgins since February 1997. In this role, responsibilities include leading a team of six and managing the annual delivery of 40,000 tonnes of bitumen, among other products, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Previous positions at Higgins include Bitumen Manager and Bitumen Technologist, where Sean contributed to major infrastructure projects and was involved in product development initiatives. Prior to Higgins, Sean worked as a Technical Officer at NZDRI. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Certificate in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering from the University of Canterbury, a Master of Technology in Chemical Technology, a Diploma in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Technology, all from Massey University.
