Jason Maughan has over 18 years of professional experience in the technology and data science fields. From 2002 to 2007, they worked as a Technical Consultant at M/A-COM. In 2007, they began working as a Technical Consultant Manager at Tyco Electronics, where they hired, managed, and deployed field teams of technical consultants to acquire and analyze signal and audio data. In 2012, they became Chief Operating Officer at TeqBox Inc. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at Utah State University as a Principal Data Scientist and Data Scientist, where they built models of user interaction with web-based environments and tools, extracted insights from data, and collaborated with researchers on multiple grants. From 2014 to 2019, they were Chief Science Officer and Senior Data Scientist at PurePredictive, Inc., where they led the software development and data science teams, trained and evaluated machine learning models, and created visualizations of customer data and model results. Since 2019, they have been the Chief Executive Officer at Hidden Ocean.

Jason Maughan obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Management Information Systems from Utah State University - Jon M. Huntsman School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University.
