Ramakrishnan Hariharan began their work experience at Intelligroup Asia in 1998, where they served as a Senior Systems Analyst until 2003. Ramakrishnan then transitioned to Convergys Information Management as a Technical Lead from 2003 to 2004. From 2004 to 2018, Ramakrishnan worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions as a Principal Architect. During their time there, they provided technology leadership for large accounts in the Life Sciences sector and participated in technology consulting assignments. Ramakrishnan also led a multi-year SOA implementation program and provided solution architecture for multiple proposals. In 2018, Ramakrishnan joined Sutherland as the Director of the Platform Solution Group until 2020. Currently, they are working at HID Global as a Principal Architect, starting in March 2020.

Ramakrishnan Hariharan obtained an M.Sc in Computer Science from St. Joseph's College, Trichy, from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed their B.Sc in Computer Science from St. Xavier's College, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli, from 1989 to 1992. Ramakrishnan completed their X and XII from St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli, from 1982 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, Ramakrishnan also obtained certifications such as MS: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions from Microsoft in 2015, TOGAF 8 from The Open Group in March 2010, and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in October 2009.
