David Shand has worked in the software testing industry since 2008. David started as a Junior Software Test Analyst (Student Placement) at the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) in 2008. In 2010, they moved to 4Projects by Viewpoint as a Junior Software Test Analyst. In 2011, they worked at Orchard Information Systems Limited as a Software Test Analyst. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at Kykloud | an Accruent company in various roles, including Senior Test Manager, Software Test Manager, and Senior Software Test Analyst. In 2020, they began working at Tesco Bank as a Project Test Lead, and they are currently the Head of QA at Hicomply.

David Shand attended Lord Lawson of Beamish Comprehensive, Birtley from 1999 to 2004. David then attended Northumbria University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) Computing for Business.
