Sean Kauppinen has a diverse work experience in the interactive entertainment and digital media industry, spanning various roles and responsibilities. Sean is currently serving as the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at Hiber since August 2019. Prior to this, Sean founded the International Digital Entertainment Agency (IDEA) in 2008, where they provided corporate strategy, business development, and licensing support services to international interactive entertainment and digital media companies. Sean also served as the CEO of IDEA and consulted governments on game industry creation and growth initiatives. In 2017, Sean joined Jumpgate AB as a member of the Board of Directors and played a crucial role in the acquisition of Tivola Games. From 2013 to 2017, they served as a Strategic Advisor at Mighty Cast, Inc and participated in strategic decision-making processes. Sean also worked as a Consultant at Visionnaire Ventures from 2014 to 2015, assisting with positioning and marketing efforts to generate investment opportunities. In their role as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Three Gates from 2011 to 2015, Sean was responsible for marketing, business development, and crowdfunding initiatives. Sean also served as a Strategic Advisor at Intellect Motion (2013), PointMMO (2012-2013), and PlayFast (2011-2012), where they developed strategic plans and guided the companies towards growth and market success. In addition, Sean was the President of Smite Entertainment, a browser-based gaming company focusing on mid-core games, from 2009 to 2012.
