Weiyu Zhang has worked in the scientific field since 2008. Weiyu began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Minnesota, where they worked until 2013. Weiyu then moved to MLM Medical Labs, where they held the roles of Senior Scientist/Analytical Project Lead and Senior Scientist/Study Director. In 2021, they joined HiberCell as a Senior Scientist. At MLM Medical Labs, their role as Senior Scientist/Study Director included providing scientific model and study design development and pre-study consultation with clients and scientific staff, as well as leading preclinical study conduct including protocol development, study management, data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

Weiyu Zhang received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Zhejiang University in 1995 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005.
