Mike Fretto has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Mike is currently a Co-Founder at Neighbor, a position they have held since September 2020. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, they worked at Tuft & Needle as the Head of Product Experience and as a Senior Designer. In 2017, they had a short-term role as an Adjunct Instructor at Flagler College.
Before that, Mike worked at Hashrocket as a Designer from 2014 to 2016. From 2013 to 2014, they were involved in multiple design roles at KYN - Jacksonville, where they worked closely with startup founders and led the design apprenticeship program.
Mike's earlier experience includes working as a Freelance Graphic Designer at Silent Citizen, Inc. from 2004 to 2013. Mike also held positions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Camp Firebelly Counselor at Firebelly Design from 2010 to 2012, and as the Founder and Creative Director of ROSA LOVES, a non-profit organization, from 2006 to 2011. Mike started their career as a Junior Designer at TOKY Branding + Design in 2004.
Mike Fretto pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Graphic Design from Flagler College between 2000 and 2004. Later, they furthered their education by completing a Master of Design (M.Des) program in Visual Communication Design at the University of Washington from 2011 to 2013.
