Nirmala Sankaran is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mentorship and advisory roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Mentor to early-stage ventures at Stanford Seed Spark and an Advisory Board Member for the Chennai Region at Teach For India, Nirmala also co-founded HeyMath! in 2000. As a Business Mentor at the IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre and the NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore, Nirmala provides critical guidance to startups on business models, product development, and marketing strategies. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the Stanford Seed Transformation Network from April 2021 to April 2022. Nirmala held the position of Vice President at Citibank from 1989 to 2000, focusing on product management and development. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from NYU Stern School of Business, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and additional studies at Stanford SEED and Harvard Business School.
