Xiaoxi Yan has a diverse work experience, starting as a Clinic Assistant at Teban Garden Clinic in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Processing Agent at Singapore Press Holdings and as a Medic Interpreter at MEDIC INTERPRETERS LIMITED, where they received consistently excellent feedback.
In 2013, Xiaoxi Yan joined UCL Institute of Child Health as a Biostatistics Intern, working on a project focused on fractal analysis of accelerometer data in pediatric research.
From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Medical Statistician at Tictrac, leading a large-scale structured intervention project and implementing new processes.
In 2018, Xiaoxi Yan co-founded Hexis Performance and took on the role of Head of Data Science. Currently, they are a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Duke-NUS Medical School, where they previously completed their PhD.
Xiaoxi Yan's education history began with their completion of the GCE Advanced Level at Hwa Chong Institution. They then pursued a degree in Medical Physics and Biomedical Sciences at UCL from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a degree in Statistics (Medical Statistics) at UCL from 2014 to 2015. Xiaoxi Yan later attended Duke-NUS Medical School from 2017 to 2022, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biostatistics.
