Lukas Heinzle is an accomplished technology executive and founder with extensive experience in the field of reality capture systems. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology at Hexagon AB since August 2020, Lukas also founded ci.labs LLC in May 2019. Previously, Lukas held the position of R&D Manager at Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, from February 2020 to July 2020, leading a team focused on innovative reality capture solutions. Prior to this role, Lukas was a Systems Architect at Leica Geosystems from June 2014 to April 2019, specializing in systems engineering and architecture for next-generation reality capture systems, as well as sensor fusion and imaging technologies. Lukas began the career as an Electronic Design Engineer involved in terrestrial laser scanner development. Educationally, Lukas earned a Master of Science in Physics from ETH Zürich and Caltech, following a Bachelor of Science in Physics from ETH Zürich.
