James Kidd has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. James started their career as a Sales Assistant at John Lewis in 2005, where they gained responsibilities in reconciling tills and coordinating stock takes. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Project Manager at CARERS IN BEDFORDSHIRE, managing projects and coordinating a Social Return on Investment analysis. In 2014, they joined Hertfordshire County Council as a Financial Management Trainee, rotating through different departments and working on notable assignments such as monitoring budgets and providing advice on budgeting. James was later promoted to the role of Senior Accountant for the County Council's Pension Fund, responsible for producing annual reports and acting as the main point of contact for auditors. In 2020, they became the Chief Accountant at Hertfordshire Constabulary.
James Kidd has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from The University of Sheffield, which they obtained from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their A-Level education at Monk's Walk School from 2005 to 2007. James began their formal education at Monks Walk School in 2000, where they completed their GCSE studies. Recently, from 2014 to 2017, they pursued additional education in the field of public finance, earning a CIPFA degree from CIPFA.
