Thomas Uhlenhake has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on revenue management and operations. Thomas currently works as an Area Director of Revenue and Strategies at Hersha Hospitality Management since 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Area Director of Revenue and Commercial Strategies at Practice Hospitality from 2022 to 2023, where they worked on increasing top line and market shares in large metro area markets.
From 2020 to 2022, Thomas served as the Area Director of Revenue Management at Crescent Hotels & Resorts, where they implemented revenue strategies for luxury markets along the eastern region. In this role, they were responsible for managing $52 million in rooms, banquet and catering revenues, as well as leading sales and front office associates.

Prior to that, Thomas worked as a Director of Operations at The Orange E from 2013 to 2015, where they developed marketing strategies and exceeded new client goals. Thomas also held the position of Director of Hotel Operations at Marriott Hotels from 2010 to 2012, leading a 349-room hotel and implementing yield controls to maximize stays.
Thomas started their career as an Assistant General Manager at Residence Inn by Marriott from 2006 to 2010, where they managed front office operations and served as the Lead Trainer for the companywide launch of the Blue Print Training Program.
Additionally, Thomas has held roles at Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, further showcasing their diverse experience in the hospitality industry.
Thomas Uhlenhake attended Midland High School, graduating with an unspecified degree in an unknown field of study in 1995. Thomas then went on to Michigan State University from 1995 to 1997, where they pursued a degree in Psychology.
In 2012 and 2013, Thomas enrolled in the ASHA School of Wellness, specializing in Health Wellness Therapies and focusing on pain management.
In terms of additional certifications, Thomas obtained the SERVESAFE certification from the Nation Restaurant Association in December 2015. Prior to that, in June 2002, they completed the Connect-U level Assistant General Manager CY and Residence Inn certification from Marriott International.
