Muktar Dougsiyeh has a strong background in the hospitality industry, with experience spanning over three decades. Muktar started their career in 1990 as a Director of Food & Beverage at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., where they supervised 120 employees and successfully improved the quality of service. Muktar then joined Marriott International as a Director of Food & Beverage, where they were responsible for improving profitability, guest satisfaction, and associate satisfaction.
In 2001, Dougsiyeh became an Assistant General Manager at B. F. Saul Hotel Division, overseeing Crowne Plaza Hotel. Muktar then moved on to Noble-Interstate Management Group, serving as a General Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn, where they managed daily operations, implemented policies and procedures, and supervised key management staff.
Dougsiyeh's career continued with Hotel Equities, where they worked as a General Manager, focusing on financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development. Muktar also served in the same role at Alliance Hospitality Management LLC, where they executed the company's vision and managed operations at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott.
From 2016 to 2021, Dougsiyeh worked at Homewood Suites by Hilton as a General Manager, responsible for daily hotel operations, financial profitability, and leadership in delivering outstanding guest service.
Most recently, in 2021, Dougsiyeh joined Hersha Hospitality Management as a General Manager, where they continue to apply their expertise in managing hotel operations and ensuring guest satisfaction. Throughout their career, Dougsiyeh has demonstrated a passion for the hospitality industry and has consistently contributed to the success of the organizations they have worked with.
Muktar Dougsiyeh obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Science from Nova Virginia College between 1990 and 1993.
