Jeff Parsons

Jeff Parsons is a Principal Geomorphologist at Herrera Environmental Consultants. Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the field of geomorphology.

Jeff Parsons began their career as an assistant professor at the University of Washington in September 2000. In March 2006, they left the University of Washington to become a Chevron Fellow at MIT. In this role, they managed sedimentology laboratory and upstream research for Chevron. Jeff also collaborated with other EAPS faculty, staff and students and faculty in the applied math department.

In January 1998, Jeff Parsons became a Chevron Fellow at MIT. In this role, they managed sedimentology laboratory and upstream research for Chevron. Jeff also collaborated with other EAPS faculty, staff and students and faculty in the applied math department.

Jeff Parsons has a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Jeff also has an M.S. in the same field from the same school. Jeff has a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Washington. Jeff is certified by the Washington State Department of Transportation in Fish Passage and Stream Restoration Design Training. Jeff is also certified by the Washington State Department of Licensing as a Professional Engineer.

They work with Phil Coughlan - Sustainable Development Practice Director, Tyson Wright - Principal Engineer, and Jenn Schmidt - Director, Spatial Science. Jeff Parsons reports to Mike Spillane, President & CEO.
