Werner Janse van Rensburg

Werner Janse van Rensburg has extensive experience in the field of sports and physical education. Werner started their career at Hoerskool Bastion as the Head of Sport/Physical Education in 2006. Werner then moved to Marais Viljoen High School in 2007, where they served as the Manager of Sport until 2013. During this time, they also worked as an Assistant Coach for the Golden Lions u18 Cravenweek team from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, Werner joined the University of Johannesburg as the Head Coach for UJ Rugby, a position they held until 2018. Werner then transitioned to SAHETI School in 2019, where they served as the Head of Sport and Physical Education. While at SAHETI School, Werner took on additional roles, including Interim Head of Operations and Head of Co-Curricular Studies. In 2023, they will be joining HeronBridge College as the Head of Co-Curricular Studies. Throughout their career, Werner has demonstrated strong leadership skills and has been involved in various projects and tournaments. Werner is also experienced in managing staff and ensuring the smooth operation of sports programs.

Werner Janse van Rensburg has a comprehensive education history involving various degrees and certifications. In 1996, they completed their Matric degree at Roodepoort Hoërskool, with a focus on Accounting, Science, and languages. Continuing their education, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sports Communication at the University of Johannesburg.

In 2004, Werner obtained another Bachelor's degree, this time in Sport Science, also from the University of Johannesburg. Later, in 2006, they began attaining coaching certificates in rugby, which they completed over a period of five years until 2011.

In 2013, Werner attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and received a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

Moreover, in July 2019, they obtained an edX Verified Certificate for Critical Thinking & Problem Solving from the online institution edX.

Throughout their educational journey, Werner has focused on subjects related to sports, communication, coaching, and education.
