Leona Cassar is an experienced HR professional with a strong background in talent acquisition, employer branding, and employee wellbeing. Currently serving as the Head of People & Culture at Hero Gaming since March 2021, Leona manages recruitment processes, candidate experience, and social media presence while also overseeing the employee wellbeing programme. Prior to this role, Leona held multiple positions at GO plc from June 2016 to March 2021, including Senior Manager HR and HR & Employer Brand Manager, where responsibilities included leading HR teams, developing retention strategies, and fostering employer branding initiatives. Leona's career began with roles as an HR Generalist at SpotOn Connections and Recruitment Consultant at Grand Hotel Excelsior Malta, supported by a Master's in Management with HRM from the University of Chester and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Malta.
