Priya Kumar has held various roles in the UX research and photography industries. In 2022, they began working as a UX Researcher for Hero Cosmetics. In 2021, they began working as a Contract User Experience Researcher for an independent consultant. From 2016 to 2021, they held various roles at Ipsos in North America, including User Experience Associate Researcher, Account Manager, Senior Research Analyst, and Research Analyst. From 2016 to 2021, they also worked as a Freelance Artist for MAKE UP FOR EVER. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Color Artist and SUBC Coach for SEPHORA. Additionally, Priya has owned and operated their own professional photography business, Photos by Priya, since 2009.

Priya Kumar completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Interactive Media and User Experience Design from Quinnipiac University between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Connecticut between 2010 and 2016.
