Flemming Olsen has a diverse work experience. Flemming began their career as a teacher in the Danish public school system and later worked as a consultant for educational development. In 1989, they became the chief of day care and recreational programs in Herlev, and in 1993, they became the director of children and youth in Allerød municipality. In 1997, they became the cultural chief in Vallensbæk, where they successfully merged various areas of childcare, education, and culture. Currently, Flemming Olsen is working as a scientific assistant at CBS, focusing on the economic aspects of art and culture, as well as the integration of arts and culture in leadership. Flemming is also interested in measuring and evaluating the values and effects of cultural investments.
Flemming Olsen attended Roskilde University from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a Master's degree in public policy. Flemming then returned to Roskilde University from 2008 to 2013, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for this timeframe.
