Tarek Mohamed has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information systems. Tarek is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Heppner. Prior to this, they worked as a senior consultant in cybersecurity at Devoteam and Brightway. Tarek also held the position of Senior Cybersecurity Consultant at Oman National CERT and ITU Arab Regional Cyber Security Center. Additionally, they have experience as an IT security manager at Arab Bank and technical manager at ANSI-tunCERT. Tarek's expertise includes security audit, penetration testing, and the design and management of information security systems. Tarek has also worked as a computer science instructor at the Faculty of Science GAFSA, teaching courses on web development, database management, network security, and open-source technologies.

Tarek Mohamed completed their education at the Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Sfax (ENIS) from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a degree in IT Engineering with a specialization in computer science. In addition to their formal education, Tarek has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Tarek became a Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer through BSI in December 2015. This was followed by certifications such as Certified MEHARI Risk Manager from PECB in April 2014, CEH V7 and CHFI v8 from EC-Council in January 2013. Tarek also holds certifications like Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) and Certified EC-Council Instructor, both obtained in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Furthermore, they have acquired certifications from PECB, including ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor in December 2019, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, ISO/IEC 27005 Senior Lead Risk Manager, and Lead Forensics Examiner, all obtained in 2016 and 2019. Lastly, Tarek completed certifications in November 2020, including ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer and ISO/IEC 27032 Senior Lead Cybersecurity Manager, both from PECB.
