Mick Mackaay has over nine years of work experience in various roles. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Teaching Assistant at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. During this time, they also worked as a Summer Intern at Halbe&Koenraads in 2014. From 2015 to 2021, they have held various roles at different companies. In 2015, they were a Working Student at Deloitte Nederland and a Director and Strategy Consultant at De Kleine Consultant. In 2016, they were a Partner and CFO at henQ. In 2017, they became an Investor at inSided, which was acquired by Gainsight. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Board Member at Orderchamp, CloudTalk, and Parkdepot. Mick was also the Chairman of the Board and a Board of Directors at Stichting Intermediair Rotterdam from 2014 to 2015.

Mick Mackaay obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Bedrijfskunde from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University between 2011 and 2014. Mick then attended Alliance Manchester Business School from 2013 to 2014, before returning to Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University for a Master of Science (MSc) in Strategic Management from 2014 to 2015, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance & Investments from 2015 to 2016.
