Selvasaravanan J has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Selvasaravanan is currently the Head of Development & Client Engagement at Hendrickson Renewables since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked at 3TIER by Vaisala for nine years as a Client Engagement Manager. Selvasaravanan also served as the General Manager at DSEPL from July 2010 to May 2011. Selvasaravanan J was a Client Engagement Manager at Wipro EcoEnergy from November 2008 to July 2010. Before that, they were an Officer In-Charge at IREDA Ltd. from November 2000 to November 2008, where they handled renewable energy project financing and managed the company's operations in Chennai. Selvasaravanan J's career started as an Engineer at Avant-Garde India, where they worked on Biomass Power and Bagasse based cogeneration projects. Selvasaravanan also served as an Assistant Project Engineer at Ercom Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd. Overall, Selvasaravanan J has extensive experience in client engagement, development, and renewable energy project financing.

Selvasaravanan J began their education at Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School, where they completed their HSC degree in 1990. Selvasaravanan then pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they furthered their education at Pondicherry University and obtained a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Energy from 1995 to 1997.
