Matthew Hendrickson has over 20 years of work experience, starting as a General Manager at Brennan's of Houston in 2000. Matthew then became an Energy Assessment Manager at Zilkah Renewable Energy in 2003 and moved on to become a Senior Energy Assessment Manager at Horizon Wind Energy in 2005. In 2007, they joined EDP Renováveis as a Director in Energy Assessment, where they worked until 2011. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Director of Energy Assessment at 3TIER by Vaisala. Matthew then moved to Vaisala, where they held various positions including Global Manager of Energy Assessment, Director of Energy Operations, and Head of Energy. In July 2020, they started their own company, Hendrickson Renewables, where they currently serve as CEO.

Matthew Hendrickson attended Pacific Union College from 1993-1996 but did not earn a degree or study in a specific field. Matthew then attended the University of Houston from 1997-2002, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
