Peter Leonard is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at Henderson Collegiate since July 2020, where Peter developed and implemented an honors/AP World History curriculum for over 100 students, achieving a 49% increase in the AP pass rate and receiving the 2021-22 Excellence in Education award. Prior to this role, Peter was a Corps Member with Teach For America from May 2020 to May 2022, participating in an intensive summer training program and engaging in professional development focused on instructional planning and classroom management. Additionally, Peter worked as a Research Assistant at the William & Mary Global Research Institute, where responsibilities included building databases and managing a project outreach YouTube channel. As a Resident Assistant at William and Mary Residence Life from August 2017 to July 2020, Peter was involved in community engagement and event logistics. Peter holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the William & Mary School of Education, attained in 2020, and a bachelor's degree from William & Mary, earned in 2019.
