Pete Weber

Pete Weber has extensive experience in the field of otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery. Pete has held various leadership positions in prestigious institutions and companies. Pete served as the Chief Medical Officer at Decibel Therapeutics from 2018, and later at Audion Therapeutics from 2021. Prior to this, they were a Professor and Head of Otology/Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine (2017) and Mount Sinai Health System (2015-2017). Additionally, they have served as the Head of Medical Advisory Board and Chief Medical Advisor at Hemideina (2020) and as a Consultant for Clinical Studies at Giner, Inc. (2020). From 2016 to 2018, they held the role of Chief Medical Officer at Frequency Therapeutics. Previously, they served as the Chief Medical Officer and VP of Reimbursement at Cochlear (2010-2016) and as a Professor and Program Director at Cleveland Clinic (2001-2010). Pete Weber also has experience in teaching and research as a Professor and Head of Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at UMass Chan Medical School (2013-2015) and as a Professor at Cleveland Clinic and Boston University School of Medicine.

Pete Weber's education history includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Albany Medical College. Pete also obtained an Executive MBA degree from Duke University's The Fuqua School of Business, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Prior to this, Pete completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. Pete further pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in the same field from the same institution.
